Guides such as Enrique, Christina, Judy, and Abraham have earned praise for lively, attentive service. Check the boat type carefully if you want an adults-only outing.

“Well organized. The employees were friendly and accommodating. The ride was smooth. The lunch (sandwich) was good for what it was. Drinks were a lol watered down unless you asked for just a shot or a shot and one mixer. They took requests for the music. I did not snorkel but my friend did. The island they take you to is definitely a tourist trap.”

Guides such as Ivet, Luis, Juam, and Romando have drawn special praise for their energy and care. Lunch, hotel transfers, and upgraded boat options cost extra.

“First of all, the staff was what made this experience so wonderful. They were all absolutely the best. The catamaran was beautiful, big and comfortable. The snorkeling was beautiful although very crowded but it is a very special place so that was no surprise. We had a great time on the island thanks to the guide’s recommendations to go to the north beach. The beach club was my least favorite part and I could have done without but we still had a great time. I would do this tour again and will recommend it to anyone who will be traveling to Cancun.”

5.Isla Mujeres Snorkeling Tour Adventure

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 1,746 reviews · 3 hours (approx.) · from $58Top rated

Spend about three hours snorkeling from Isla Mujeres with Island Adventures Mexico. You’ll visit Lighthouse Reef, the MUSA underwater museum, and Manchones, using supplied gear with guides such as Diego, Ernesto, or Uriel. The small-group trip includes water, ceviche, chips, vegetables, and a margarita, with a $5 dock fee extra.

“Pretty good but not great. Friendly staff that was a bit too laid back. The 2 in the water didn't corral the group well, or point out fishes and other wildlife clearly; we missed a sea turtle apparently. Likewise, the guide leading us on walk from meeting point cafe to boat was super fast and hard to follow. The fishes were beautiful in the shallow waters and the underwater museum was cool, but the choppy waves makes us think a morning tour would've helped. The mini lunch at the end was good. Best to not have eaten before tour in case of seasickness. No bathroom on board either.”

I had to intervene. I give the American guest 3 dollars I felt so bad and the waiter screamed at me telling me that that wasn’t my business.he was also very rude to us so we left. We went to at least 3 places there and the service was horrible . Never coming back to isla mujeres. The catamaran service and atmosphere was amazing.”

“We had an unforgettable time on the private catamaran tour from Cancun to Isla Mujeres! Our group of 13 included an elderly family member, and the crew went above and beyond to accommodate everyone’s needs with kindness and professionalism. The snorkeling experience was a highlight—calm waters, plenty of fish, and very well guided. Isla Mujeres was lovely to visit, but honestly, one of the most magical parts of the trip was simply watching the water shift through different shades of blue as we sailed. It was like something out of a postcard. Highly recommend this experience if you’re looking for relaxation, beauty, and exceptional service all in one.”
